Tom and Jim conclude that time is a line. ``This means that the principle of causality is true,'' says Jim. ``Time does not branch. Causation is everywhere.''

``Not at all,'' says Tom calmly. ``Time may be a line, but that doesn't imply that anything is caused. You mathematicians always think philosophy is simple. It isn't at all; we've made it very complicated.''

``But there is no free will!'' cries Jim. ``We can't affect the future--there is only one future!''

Again, Tom disagrees with Jim. If you think there is no free will, Click here.
